President Donald Trump on Friday defended the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien accused of being an MS-13 gang member, domestic abuser, and human trafficker.
The president shared a photo of Abrego Garcia’s tattooed hand as Democrat lawmakers continued to demand the man be returned to the United States.
“I was elected to take bad people out of the United States,” Trump said in a post. “I must be allowed to do my job.”

The image Trump shared showed himself holding a photo of Abrego Garcia’s hand.
The tattoos across the man’s knuckles include a marijuana leaf, a smiley face, a cross, and a skull with three dots.
Some interpretations suggest the designs may represent an MS-13 affiliation — with the marijuana leaf symbolizing “M,” the smiley face for “S,” the cross referencing the number “1,” and the skull with three dots alluding to the number “3.”
“This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back to the United States, because he is such ‘a fine and innocent person,’” Trump wrote in the caption.

Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old native of El Salvador, was deported last month after reportedly crossing the U.S.–Mexico border in 2011.
Despite attempts to downplay his gang involvement, Trump said, “They said he is not a member of MS-13, even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles, and two Highly Respected Courts found that he was a member of MS-13, beat up his wife, etc.”
He added, “I was elected to take bad people out of the United States, among other things. I must be allowed to do my job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The controversy gained traction after photos emerged showing Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) meeting with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador following his deportation.

Van Hollen and other Democrats have urged officials in El Salvador to return Abrego Garcia to the United States.
The meeting drew immediate backlash from Angel Moms Patty Morin and Tammy Nobles, who have both lost daughters to illegal alien violence in Maryland — the same state Van Hollen represents.
Rachel Morin and Kayla Hamilton were killed in separate incidents involving illegal aliens, according to reports.
Speaking out this week, Morin and Nobles criticized Van Hollen for choosing to meet with Abrego Garcia while ignoring their repeated attempts to get attention for their daughters’ cases.
Actor James Woods also responded, writing on X, “Democrats will seek out any criminal ass to kiss. They are drawn to unrepentant evil like a moth to the flame.”

Matthew Boyle, Washington Bureau Chief for Breitbart News, commented on the situation, stating, “What’s crazy about this whole thing is the guy — regardless of whether he’s Tren de Aragua or MS13 — was without question an illegal alien unlawfully in the United States from El Salvador.”

Despite growing backlash, Democrat lawmakers have continued to criticize the deportation, while President Trump and supporters remain firm on enforcing immigration laws and removing criminal illegal aliens from the country.
