Based Florida Sheriff’s Office Makes Gang Banger Cry, Mocks Him During Press Conference [WATCH]

Five illegal immigrants with ties to the notorious Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested in Florida, accused of orchestrating a violent robbery spree that targeted more than three dozen liquor stores across the central part of the state.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests on Thursday, identifying the suspects as part of a gang-led criminal operation that allegedly stole over $30,000 worth of high-end alcohol.

One of the suspects, 26-year-old Ramon Jesus Carpintero-Luna, broke down in tears after his arrest, with authorities stating he collapsed to his knees and begged for his freedom when confronted by law enforcement.

According to the sheriff’s office, Carpintero-Luna sobbed during questioning after realizing his alleged crimes had finally caught up with him.

“He’s not such a big bad guy when he’s locked up,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said during a press conference.

“Maybe he’s having visions of El Salvador prisons at some point in time in his future,” Judd added, while displaying a photo of Carpintero-Luna in custody with tears streaming down his face.

Carpintero-Luna is alleged to be an associate of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, alongside suspects Ildemaro Miguel Escalona Mendoza, 26, and Darwins Smith Vasquez Leon, 28.

The other two suspects — 25-year-old Samuel Oglis David Anthony Charle and 27-year-old Alexis Jose Rodriguez-Benavides — are documented members of the violent criminal organization, according to authorities.

Sheriff Judd said all five suspects crossed into the United States illegally and never made any attempt to seek lawful employment, instead joining or associating with organized gang activity.

On March 1, the group allegedly carried out a robbery at a Sam’s Club location in north Lakeland.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspects loaded a shopping cart with 14 cases of liquor, valued at approximately $3,200, and attempted to flee the store without paying.

When a store employee tried to intervene, the suspects allegedly rammed the cart into the employee, then fled the scene with two cases of liquor in a silver Ford Focus.

However, their vehicle became disabled after striking a concrete curb in the parking lot.

The suspects abandoned the car and ordered a rideshare vehicle, which allowed them to evade capture temporarily.

Two of the suspects, Charle and Escalona Mendoza, were later arrested in Osceola County in connection with a separate robbery.

The remaining three — Carpintero-Luna, Rodriguez-Benavides, and Vasquez Leon — were arrested on April 17 following the issuance of arrest warrants by Polk County authorities.

All five individuals are now being held on first-degree felony robbery charges enhanced due to their gang affiliation.

Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues. Due to their immigration status, all five have been placed under ICE detainers.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspects have extensive criminal records, including prior offenses for theft, robbery, drug possession, resisting arrest, use of false identification, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence.

Several of the suspects had previously been flagged for immigration violations.

Sheriff Judd said he is advocating for their deportation, calling it a fitting consequence for their alleged crimes.

“Life as he knew it is over,” Judd said, referring again to Carpintero-Luna.

“Is he crying because we can’t steal from Americans anymore? Is he crying because he can’t rob people in the middle of the night anymore? Is he crying because he can’t rip off high-end liquor? This is the end of the road for him and his companions.”

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue working with federal immigration officials and other law enforcement agencies across the state.
