White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller said Saturday that ordinary Americans deserve reparations for the damage inflicted by decades of mass illegal immigration and open-border policies.
Speaking during an interview with Newsmax TV, Miller argued that the toll on the country — from crime and education breakdowns to fentanyl deaths and economic displacement — is beyond quantifiable.
“We all deserve reparations for what has been stolen from us,” Miller said. “It is a tragedy that defies our ability to even describe it.”

Miller’s remarks came in response to reports that Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) suggested Americans should consider paying reparations to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant deported to El Salvador.
Garcia has been credibly accused of domestic violence, human trafficking, and ties to the violent MS-13 gang.
“Where are the damages for Americans?” Miller asked.
He continued by outlining a long list of consequences tied to illegal immigration policies implemented by Democrats over the past several decades:

“Where do I even begin? Where do I even start?” Miller said.
“We used to have a functioning public school system in this country. Then we had open borders. Now our schools are in chaos and disarray. We need hundreds of translators. Nobody’s learning how to read or write. We had an entire generation of Americans — multiple generations, in fact — robbed of educational opportunities.”
He pointed to Los Angeles as a case study, describing neighborhoods that have become controlled by foreign gangs.
“Where do all the residents who’ve been displaced, who’ve been forced from Los Angeles — where do they go to get their reparations?” he asked.
Miller also addressed the fentanyl crisis, which U.S. authorities have repeatedly linked to smuggling across the southern border.
“What about the victims of fentanyl poisoning brought in by Democrats’ open border, the hundreds of thousands of moms and dads whose kids are dead and buried in the ground?” he said.
“Where do they go to get their reparations from the government?”
He cited violent crimes committed by illegal aliens, including assaults and murders of American citizens and law enforcement officers.
“Where do any of these people go? Where do any of their families go to get reparations?”
Miller also highlighted the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of unaccompanied minors at the border.
“Or the half a million children that Joe Biden traffic[ed] across the southern border and put into the hands of unvetted, so-called sponsors,” he said.
“The stories I can tell you of children that were trapped across the border and raped because of the policies of Joe Biden.”
Miller concluded: “There aren’t enough volumes that could fit into a library to calculate the carnage that has been inflicted by the Democrat party’s policy of open borders. We can spend the rest of our lives trying to document those harms. Where does our whole country go to get repaid for all of the wealth, all of the prosperity and security that has been stolen from us by decades of uncontrolled, illegal mass migration?”

Roughly 300 million Americans — across both blue-collar and white-collar sectors — have experienced suppressed wages, diminished labor market opportunities, and rising housing costs.
College graduates have also faced increased competition as the administration expanded work visa programs, such as H-1B, bringing in tens of thousands of foreign professionals annually.
At the local level, many communities have seen rising social strain tied to sudden demographic shifts and the redistribution of public resources.
We live in a society where foreign alien terrorists have unlimited free legal representation.
But Americans whose communities have been stolen from them are left without recourse.
We are rebalancing the scales.

Civic unity has been challenged as new political blocs have formed, often demanding expanded government benefits.
Polls have consistently shown a growing majority of Americans — including independent voters and some Democrats — disapproving of current immigration levels.
