Gina Miller Makes ‘Historic’ Announcement to Run for Cambridge Chancellor
Arch-Remainer Gina Miller had been keeping a low profile since her vanity project, the ‘True and Fair’ party, faced a strike-off notice last August. She’s now turned to another platform to parrot her anti-Brexit views…
Miller has thrown her hat into the ring for Chancellor of Cambridge University in this year’s election, a position last contested in 2011. With 300,000 alumni worldwide expected to drive high turnout, the race is heating up. Lord John Browne, former BP CEO and crossbench peer, and Professor Wyn Evans, a Cambridge astrophysicist have also announced they’re running, with nominations closing May 2. Gina Miller took to X to make her “historic” announcement “to shatter this glass ceiling”:
🌟 It’s time to break an 800-year tradition!
I’m proud to be to running for the historic nomination as the next Chancellor of Cambridge University.
I’m ready to shatter this glass ceiling and bring bold, independent, thoughtful leadership to one of the world’s greatest…
