As if following in the steps of Hunter Biden, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been earning up to $50k per month working for Ukrainian firms since leaving office.
Last year, he acquired an advisory job with the Ukrainian telecommunications companies Kyivstar and VEON, according to an exclusive report from the New York Post.
“Pompeo is paid $50,000 a month—or $600,000 a year—for ‘strategic and financial advice’ and ‘supporting dialogue with relevant Ukrainian, US and EU stakeholders,’” the Post reported, citing relevant documents.
“Pompeo’s Delaware-based Impact Investments firm was also handed stock warrants worth $16 million, and a $3 million bonus ‘in connection with the successful completion of a strategic M&A transaction,’” the reporting continues.
According to reports, Pompeo’s been on Kyivstar’s board since November 2023 and VEON’s board since May 2024. Critics believe his association with them explains his fervent pro-Ukrainian activism:
Wondering why Mike Pompeo is lobbying so hard for Ukraine? Well, look at who’s employing him now. He’s now sitting on the board of directors of Kyivstar, the largest mobile service provider in Ukraine.

While VEON is already listed on the Nasdaq, Kyivstar is planning to obtain its own listing by year’s end. The listing will be valued at $2.2 billion, according to the Post.
“The lucrative deal also guarantees Pompeo first-class flights or the use of a private jet whenever he is traveling on behalf of the Ukrainian telecoms giant,” the Post notes.
Some critics have wondered what exactly Pompeo is offering these companies that makes him worth so much money.
What’s known is that, according to the Post’s sources, he’s still in “regular contact” with President Donald Trump’s top officials.
What’s also known is that Pompeo’s activities in Ukraine go beyond just his interactions with Kyivstar and VEON.
“Pompeo … also demanded an eye-watering $300,000 fee from a Ukrainian charity that helps wounded veterans to appear in Kyiv in April 2023, when he was flirting with a possible run for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination,” the Post notes.
“The former Kansas congressman took the fat check from oligarch Victor Pinchuk for a whirlwind 24-hour visit during which he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky,” according to the Post.
Given that he received $300k for a 24-hour visit, that means he made roughly $12,500 per hour.
DID DONALD TRUMP’S SECRETARY OF STATE LEARN ANYTHING FROM HUNTER BIDEN❓
COULD IT BE THAT….HE KNOWS NOTHING WILL BECOME OF HUNTER SHENANIGANS AND THEREFORE HE CAN GET AWAY WITH IT TOO ❓

Ten days after Pompeo returned from the gig in Ukraine, he officially ruled himself out of the 2024 presidential race.
“Mike Pompeo’s lost faith in himself masqueraded as a loss of faith in President Trump,” former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon told the Post. “That road to perdition ended for him in the morass of Ukrainian oligarchs’ blood money.”
Oof.
“He sold us out,” another source close to President Trump said.
Ouch.
Pompeo, whose security detail was revoked by Trump in January, also has business dealings in Israel and Russia.
“[T]he former secretary of state is … a non-executive director of Israeli cybersecurity firm Cyabra and holds stock options worth $368,888,” according to the Post.
He’s also provided work for the copper mining company ACG Metals, which is run by a UK-Russian national, and Gor Investments, a firm from Uzbekistan.
Critics say Pompeo’s activities abroad mirror the shady actions of President Joe Biden’s family, namely his son Hunter and brother James.

Hunter, in particular, spent several years working for a corrupt Ukrainian energy firm known as Burisma. While there, he allegedly traded access to then-Vice President Joe Biden for lots and lots of money.
Critics also say that it’s a good thing President Trump didn’t enlist Pompeo to be in his second administration.
“Poster Child as to why we hate politicians (obviously, he cares not and that’s another reason why we hate politicians),” one critic tweeted.
“I have zero respect for him,” another critic wrote, adding that he’s “undermining President Trump” by giving Republicans a bad name.
