U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has put the Republican-led House on blast for not doing more to help deliver the mandate Americans voted for when they overwhelmingly elected President Donald J. Trump to a second term.
“Congress is not doing its job and to deliver the People’s mandate,” the GOP lawmaker said in a post shared on X.
Greene pointed out that in President Joe Biden’s first 100 days, Congress “had delivered 11 bills to Biden’s desk including their reconciliation package, the American ‘Rescue’ Plan, spending $1.9 trillion dollars on Covid insanity, Trans and DEI, and open border policies to fund the invasion of America.”
“Nancy Pelosi was a machine. And Democrats didn’t have 60 votes in the Senate, but they got it done,” she wrote.

“President Trump hits 100 days on April 30th and we have only sent 5 bills to his desk: Laken Riley Act, 3 joint resolutions blocking Biden agency rules, and a full Biden/Democrat government funding CR that I should have never been required to vote for, but only did it because President Trump asked me to in order to avoid a gov shutdown,” Greene added. “But he had no other option to get behind either because Congress gave him none.”
According to Greene, the House should be busy passing legislation cutting “Biden era spending, policies and fraud that DOGE has uncovered,” as well as finishing a reconciliation package.
“I’ve been silent and hopeful that our Republican controlled House and Senate understood the historic mandate and responsibility that the people demanded in November, and would finally be convinced that America did not vote for standard Republican Party policies, America voted for TRUMP AMERICA FIRST MAGA POLICIES, and Congress MUST deliver,” she said.
Greene reminded her followers that she “ran for Congress in 2020 after being infuriated from watching Republicans in Congress undermine President Trump’s agenda and disgusted at Republicans in Washington refusing to defend our President from the Democrat’s silent civil war and coup against OUR President.”
The congresswoman questioned whether the Republican Congress will “understand the moment we are in and courageously seize it.”
“We are facing a Democrat judicial coup unconstitutionally abusing the power of the courts to stop the will of the American people and defend and protect terrorists, cartel gang members, and illegal aliens who have broken our immigration laws, and now a ruling to continue election fraud by stopping President Trump’s executive order to require ID to prove citizenship in order to vote,” Greene wrote. “The Democrat Party is now openly the party of criminals, terrorists, MS-13, mentally ill trans, and big government control and crippling debt.”
“My patience is wearing thin and the people are sick of it. We have a job to do, we better get together and do it or we will lose in ‘26,” she warned in conclusion.
Social media users largely agreed with MTG, seeing the GOP-controlled Congress is a very negative light — but then, these are many of the same befuddled Republicans who stood on the sidelines as Democrats created a shadow government via NGOs and steered billions of tax dollars into these unaccountable organizations to shape government policy.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Thank you MTG! Congress is failing the American People.

Congress’s failure to act isn’t new—it’s a feature of the swamp. The 118th Congress passed just 22 bills, the lowest since the Great Depression. Biden’s “Rescue” Plan was a $1.9T slush fund for ideological pet projects, while Trump’s agenda gets stonewalled by GOP infighting and…

You’re absolutely correct. The rest of your party except for a few don’t seem to understand time is short.
Trump and the Republicans only had 2 years to make it or break it. So far, it looks like they’re choosing to do nothing.
The midterms belong to the Democrats if this…

Interesting how quickly they campaign on America First policies but govern with Establishment priorities.
Name ONE major Trump campaign promise that Congress has delivered on so far.
I’ll wait.

All I see is politicians tweeting how much there is to do and how it’s not getting done. The amount if time the House has off is ridiculous and unacceptable. The Speaker is weak. We expect and demand action. I foresee many losing their seats come the primaries.

By all appearances, @SpeakerJohnson & @LeaderJohnThune are sabotaging Trump’s second term by simply being inactive! Hopefully that is not the case, but I’m not holding my breath
