According to an FOI response, in December HMRC shelled out a staggering £159,710 on salaries for their ‘diversity and inclusion’ team. When asked for any evidence, data, or metrics showing how the centralised Equality Diversity Team benefits HMRC employees, their response was that they didn’t “hold that data”. Shock…

As this is just the monthly salary figure, it seems HMRC could be dropping around £1,916,520 annually on DEI staff salaries. For £159,710 you could:

• Buy 2,661 Mil-tech British Army boots.
• Fill 2,219 potholes.
• Buy 13 unmarked police cars.
