Tarlov kicks hornet’s nest with brain dead child deportation take: ‘Stop lying, Jessica’

An attempt to peddle the corporate media narrative on children of deported illegal aliens found Jessica Tarlov shredded on social media, having “forgotten to read stories before posting.”

Having failed to shift hearts and minds by rallying behind deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia and Mahmoud Khalil, leftists once again sought to use kids as pawns to prop up their open border agenda. Piggybacking off an ACLU argument that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had raised new “due process concerns” by deporting two mothers and their children, “The Five” co-host Tarlov made herself the subject of shaming over the supposedly “deeply messed up” case.

Reporter Prem Thakker shared an ACLU press release condemning the deportation of two families, “including three US citizen kids aged 2, 4, 7,” and detailed, “One of the moms is pregnant. One of the citizen kids has cancer. Both deported without medical help.”

“I’ll save you the trouble of replying, this is what you voted for because I know that’s true for some Trump supporters,” captioned the Fox News commentator. “But it’s deeply messed up. Deeply.”

Absent from the reporting was a key detail raised by Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin, who’d reminded in a statement on the deportations to Honduras that the decision to take the children was up to the parents, and it was common for them to go that route.

“Parents are asked if they want to be removed with their children, or ICE will place the children with someone the parent designates. In this case, the parent stated they wanted to be removed with the children,” said McLaughlin, leading former U.S. Department of Energy Nuclear Scientist Matt Van Swol to assert, “Sadly, Jessica appears to have forgotten to read stories before posting. No worries, I’ll help everyone out here. THE MOM DEMANDED THE KIDS COME WITH HER WHICH IS WHY THEY WERE ALL DEPORTED TOGETHER. All the media do is lie to you.”

Van Swol and McLaughlin weren’t alone in decrying the media for pushing propaganda on deportations, as Secretary of State Marco Rubio had similarly refuted the claim on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” when he confronted host Kristen Welker, “On the headline, that’s a misleading headline.”

“Three U.S. citizens, ages 4, 7, and 2, were not deported. Their mothers, who were illegally in this country, were deported,” asserted the secretary. “The children went with their mothers. The children are U.S. citizens, they can come back into the United States if their father, or someone here, wants to assume them. But, ultimately who was deported was their mothers, who were here illegally. The children just went with their mothers.”

As Tarlov’s comment drew more attention, reactions included affirmations that keeping families together was exactly what had been on the ballot in opposing a globalist agenda, as opposed to the alternative deportation narrative that conservatives wanted to separate families.
