Trump-Run Kennedy Center Brings Dolly Parton’s Songs To The Stage

The Kennedy Center is embracing Dolly Parton’s impact on American music and culture by featuring a collaboration with The National Symphony Orchestra.

The NSO will take audiences through Parton’s incredible life with a unique presentation by the orchestra on June 26 and 27. The Kennedy Center unveiled the performance Monday on X.

“Did you hear the National Symphony Orchestra is performing Dolly Parton’s 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 at The Kennedy Center?! It’s a one-of-a-kind multimedia concert experience,” they wrote. “Sing along to her greatest hits with live guest vocalists and stunning new orchestrations celebrating her incredible legacy.”

Members will be able to purchase tickets April 29 at 10 a.m. EST on the Kennedy Center’s official website. General ticket sales will be available to the public May 1 at 10 a.m. EST.

Orchestrations of Parton’s hits “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You” will be performed along with other carefully selected songs, SlippeDisc reported.

The show will include powerful visuals projected on the screen throughout. The multimedia experience will also feature guest vocalists and musicians.

“The threads of my life are woven together through my songs. That’s why the project, Threads: My Songs In Symphony, is so special to me,” Parton told Fox News.

“It’s about sharing my music and my musical journey with audiences in a new way,” she said.

“Bringing Dolly Parton’s music to life through the power of a full symphony orchestra has long been a dream of mine, “NSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke told Fox News.

Trump has also directly expressed his support for the country music scene. The president publicly endorsed country singer Warren Zeiders in a Monday post on Truth Social.
