EXCLUSIVE: Arizona GOP Governor Candidate Announces Multi-Million-Dollar Ad Buy

Arizona Republican Karrin Taylor Robson’s gubernatorial campaign announced a multi-million-dollar ad buy Monday, touting President Donald Trump’s “complete and total” endorsement of her candidacy.

Taylor Robson’s newest ad, “Trump Endorsed,” follows the president’s dual endorsement of her and her primary opponent, Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs, in a Truth Social post April 21, in which he argued both candidates are “wonderful champions” of his America First agenda. Taylor Robson’s campaign cast the president’s two-way endorsement as Trump reaffirming his initial support for Taylor Robson in December, before both she and Biggs entered the race. “Conservative businesswoman Karrin Taylor Robson is running for governor and she has President Trump’s ‘complete and total’ endorsement,” the ad says. “Karrin Taylor Robson is answering President Trump’s call.”

Both candidates are running to defeat incumbent Arizona Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, who the Taylor Robson campaign ad argues has been a “disaster” for Arizonans.

Taylor Robson’s campaign announced an $850,000 fundraising haul on April 11 capping off the first six weeks of her gubernatorial bid.

“I’m proud and honored that President Trump has reaffirmed his endorsement of our campaign,” Taylor Robson told the DCNF in a statement. “It’s time that we take our message of America and Arizona First leadership to voters across Arizona. Katie Hobbs has been a disaster and has tried to stand in President Trump’s way. As Governor, I will work with President Trump to build a stronger border, a stronger economy, and a stronger and safer Arizona.”

The president previously said he would support Taylor Robson if she ran for governor during a speech at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, on Dec. 22.

Taylor Robson narrowly lost to failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake in the state’s 2022 Republican gubernatorial primary. Trump had endorsed Lake during that primary contest.
