A video of “woke” Starbucks employees griping over a reported dress code is making the rounds for all the wrong reasons.
It’s not that folks can’t voice an opinion over changes they might not agree with; it was the delivery of the complaints that earned plenty of scorn and mockery.
More importantly, an employer has a right to demand that its employees portray at least an iota of professionalism. A fact that is entirely lost on the Starbucks employees, who claimed the dress code was implemented illegally.
Before we get to the video of the woke struggle session, let’s take a look at the reported dress code changes:
Fast food and service workers said they deserved a minimum of $15/hour.
Here’s the dress code Starbucks workers are complaining about.
I know this might sound crazy to Gen Z, but people who are paying $9 for a latte, expect a little bit of professionalism. pic.twitter.com/9qG4TWwrKe

Pretty basic stuff, and two shirts given to employees so they don’t have to wear (and potentially ruin) their own clothes seems like a fair ask. But that doesn’t appear to be the mindset for Starbucks employees who desire to “express” themselves through their appearance.

X users had plenty to say, and didn’t hold back:
Send them all to the China they so dearly love and support to see if China will care about them doing the work of four or even 20 people.
You come to work, you wear what we tell you end of story.
If not, you can take a hike and we’ll hire someone that will. Not complicated.

Jobs are meant to employ you, not give you a platform for expression or virtue signal.
Starbucks made this army of entitled brats, they can deal with it. Their coffee sucks anyways.

These are the unemployable, being given an opportunity to earn good money while having no skills and still allowed to look like a circus freak show. Yet, they are filled with the rage of the entitled. This is what a woke & broken society creates. Replace them.

Imagine being so fragile that wearing matching aprons feels like oppression. If you can’t handle a dress code, maybe a job isn’t what you need, maybe it’s a nap and a journal.

Hard to take seriously when they look like

That’s likely what the Starbucks bigwigs were thinking when they implemented the dress code.
Sorry to tell y’all, but your employer is able to implement and enforce a dress code policy withou consulting their employees. This is perfect karma for @Starbucks though. This is what happens when you empower people to believe that are their “feelings” matter in the workplace.…

You are not hired at a company to express yourself. You are hired to work. Liberals destroy everything.

For the virtue signaling left, it’s all about “me, me, me.”
