INSIDER: Why not Kamala?

Views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

“There is a clamoring for her voice right now. No one can better prosecute the case while inspiring a call to action than the former vice president.” – former advisor to failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

If you’re a political party hellbent on running the ship into the rocks, why not go with an experienced captain? Leaderless, rudderless, and god awful, the Democrats are desperate for someone to take the helm, and that person could be none other than Kamala Harris.

Getting steamrolled by your party’s greatest nemesis in a humiliating national rejection would normally be a deterrent to anyone with half a brain who isn’t a raging drunk, but the brutal election drubbing isn’t stopping the ex-veep, who once again has her sights set on the Oval Office. And given the dismal state of the competition, it could be smooth sailing all the way to the 2028 convention.

Rested and ready, the 2024 loser gave her first speech since leaving office in January, hitting all the right talking points about the “constitutional crisis” that she claims has been unleashed by President Donald J. Trump.

The 16-minute address at San Francisco’s Palace Hotel featured plenty of red meat for a demoralized party that has until Wednesday rallied around the deported MS-13 thug Kilmar Abrego Garcia despite a history of unsavory behavior, including wife beating and alleged human trafficking. Now they may have found their savior, and she was right under their noses all along.

Who’s a better pick?

AOC? The “Squad” diva is generating plenty of early buzz, but she’s an electoral cinder block around the Democrat donkey’s neck. Her open socialism, shrill demeanor, and undistilled idiocy are a guaranteed loser in all the swing states, as well as probably a few others that were carried by Harris. She has real potential to put the Democrats on the receiving end of a bulldozing along the lines of the ones suffered by Walter Mondale and George McGovern. The base loves her, though.

JB Pritzker? Fuhgeddaboudit. The Illinois governor is a loudmouthed, fat slob – think Chris Christie without the personality – who will be lucky enough to make it another three years without dropping dead of a heart attack.

Gretchen Whitmer? If Big Gretch was a possibility, that all came crashing down in a matter of weeks after she was praised by Trump, not once, but twice, a deal killer with the lunatic base.

Josh Shapiro: He’s Jewish.

The other possibilities are even more ridiculous: ESPN motormouth Stephen A. Smith, lowlife ghetto trash Jasmine Crockett, ex-CIA operative Elissa Slotkin, former Chicago Governor Rahm Emanuel, and the inimitable Beto O’Rourke are names that have already come up.

Granted that some may be reluctant to roll with Kamala, but the pissed off donors will likely get over it with Democrats and their judges going all-in to stall Trump’s reforms until next year when the party can ride the fake polls and promises of impeachment back into a House majority and the lynch mob will be unleashed. With Trump bogged down in the courts and congressional investigations, and even more importantly, term-limited, why not Kamala?

She has national name recognition and a legion of devoted followers who would crawl on their hands and knees over broken glass for her in a national campaign and the history-making chance to put the first (half) black woman into the presidency.

Given the history of recent years, it’s hard to imagine Democrats nominating a white candidate in 2028 with the Obama racial rump still a formidable influence in the party. She’s also a veritable Rhodes scholar when compared with the other black White House hopeful, the emotionally volatile, light in the loafers and borderline retarded windbag Cory Booker.

If it were a movie, a fitting title would be “Return of the DEI dummy,” and the sequel to Kamalot could bring down the house for the Democrats, literally.
