The media is working overtime to run interference for illegal immigrants being deported by the Trump administration, even though many of these foreign nationals are criminals, suspected and/or convicted of crimes like murder and rape.
Essentially doing their part to prop up the Democratic Party narrative, journalists have no shame in painting a sympathetic picture for alleged gang-banging illegal aliens while ignoring heartbreaking stories about American citizens who have fallen victim to a criminal horde ushered in by the Biden regime.
But Reuters had its own “Hold my beer” moment with a well-timed drone capturing what was purported to be a desperate “SOS” signal from suspected members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua — not that rational-minded folks bought into the propaganda play.
In video footage, detainees clad in red and orange jumpsuits wave to the drone before taking up the SOS formation — which is a Morse code word for “help.” One of the illegal immigrants even flashed a peace sign.
NEW: Venezuelan detainees at a Texas illegal immigrant detention center form an “SOS” message as a Reuters drone flew by.

Tren de Aragua members at the facility have been sent to CECOT, the notorious maximum security prison in El Salvador — the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily halted the deportation of the alleged gang-bangers from Texas under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
Reuters said the drone was “flying nearby” the Bluebonnet facility — the news agency interviewed the families of seven detainees, who insisted that their loved ones are not gang members.
The official Homeland Security X account responded to the theatrics by offering up the “real story.”
“The real story here is that the Biden administration was releasing gang members into American communities,” the post began. “Jeferson Daniel Escalona Hernandez, a self-admitted Tren de Aragua gang member, illegally entered the country on March 27, 2024. He was arrested for felony evading arrest with a vehicle. He remains in ICE custody at the Bluebonnet Detention Center pending deportation.”
“Diover Millan Leon, a Venezuelan and documented member of Tren de Aragua, illegally entered the U.S. on an unknown date and at an unknown location,” the post continued. “The U.S. Border Patrol arrested Millan on May 3, 2023 and released under the previous administration. Millan was arrested by ICE in Georgia on March 12, 2025 and remains at Bluebonnet.”
Social media users questioned whether Reuters’ violation of the airspace over the detention center was legal, and folks asked about the timing — the detainees appear to have planned the “SOS” formation, and how did Reuters know this would be happening?
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
I’ll put money down that…
1) An inmate lawyer or Reuters reporter coordinated that display.
2) Flying a drone over a federal incarceration facility is likely a felony.

How did they know that a drone would be going by?
They weren’t so nervous when they INVADED OUR COUNTRY.
Maybe it will send a message to the rest here. Either self deport or risk being sent to CECOT.

Clearly a coordinated effort by leftists in the detention center, defense attorneys and Reuters. And if you connect those dots, you might as well add in the leftist politicians, activists and big money donors.

How did they know the drone wasn’t a government drone?
Sure looks staged.

They’re forming SOS signals in detention because, for once, they’re actually being held accountable. Under the last administration, they were being bused into neighborhoods, not fenced in.

You can always get a bunch of drones to coriograph the word ” BYE” back to them in response.
