We’ve got major developments in the NFL, ladies and gentlemen!
Justin Tucker, the longtime kicker for the Baltimore Ravens, has been released by the franchise, with the team labeling it as a “football decision.”
In the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Baltimore selected Arizona kicker Tyler Loop, doing so amid Tucker’s sexual misconduct allegations and after struggling in the 2024 season.
Tucker is currently facing an alleged scandal off the field that involves 16 massage therapists for eight different wellness centers and spas in Baltimore, accusing the kicker of sexual misconduct that allegedly took place from the years 2012-16. The 35-year-old has denied all of the accusations, branding them “unequivocally false” in a social media statement.
“Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker,” said Ravens executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta in a Monday statement.
“Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade. We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”
