Judge Confronts P Diddy’s Lawyer Over Disrespectful ‘White Women’ Remark [WATCH]

A federal judge in New York rebuked a high-profile attorney connected to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team over a comment made during a podcast criticizing the composition of the prosecution, as reported by The New York Post.

The reprimand came as jury selection continues in Combs’ ongoing racketeering and sex trafficking trial.

During a private session on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian addressed remarks made by attorney Mark Geragos, who represents Combs’ mother, Janice Combs.

According to court transcripts reviewed by The New York Post, Subramanian took issue with Geragos referring to the prosecution team as “a six-pack of white women” on a podcast episode hosted with TMZ founder Harvey Levin.

“This is ridiculous,” Judge Subramanian said.

“I think referring to the prosecution in this case as a six-pack of white women is outrageous. This would not be tolerated in any court from any lawyer anywhere across the nation.”

Geragos attempted to explain the comment by saying Combs believes he is being “targeted” because of his race.

“I think when you’ve got a black man who’s being prosecuted and the client feels like he’s being targeted, it’s a — it’s an observation.”

The defense attorneys officially representing Combs, including Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos—Mark Geragos’ daughter—have reportedly agreed not to make claims in court that the prosecution is racially motivated or that Combs is the victim of selective prosecution.

They also agreed not to reference other individuals who may have engaged in similar behavior without being charged.

The dispute followed a request from the Southern District of New York prosecutors, who had asked the court to remind the defense team to refrain from making public statements that could influence the jury.

Mark Geragos is a well-known defense attorney with a history of representing high-profile clients, including Michael Jackson and Hunter Biden.

Although not listed as part of Combs’ official defense team, Geragos has been seen observing proceedings from the section of the courtroom reserved for the defendant’s friends and family.

On Tuesday, he disclosed that he is representing Janice Combs in an unspecified matter. He has reportedly been in regular contact with the defendant throughout the legal proceedings.

The judge concluded Tuesday’s remarks on a lighter note, joking that he would now be tuning in to Geragos’ podcast episodes to ensure no further inappropriate commentary is made.

“I’m going to be watching and I’m going to be listening. All right? You have one more listener for your podcast,” Subramanian said.

“As long as you subscribe, I’m all for it,” Geragos responded.

Sean Combs, 55, is facing serious federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, which could carry a sentence of up to life in prison. Jury selection is scheduled to continue on Wednesday in the Manhattan federal courthouse.
