Kanye West stomps out of Piers Morgan interview live over the dumbest thing

Rapper Kanye West is back in the news after he walked out of an interview over a seemingly innocent mistake.

The interview, hosted by Piers Morgan, was over before it could even begin. When Morgan opened up the segment, he made what “Ye” viewed as a critical error: He misstated the number of X followers the rapper has.

“I watch what you put out on X. You’ve got 32 million followers, so you’re one of the most followed people,” Morgan said.

“Wait, now look right now, you’re not gonna take– you’re not gonna take inches off my d**k, bro. Like, how many followers do I have?” the rapper interrupted.

“Well, how many is it?” Morgan asked.

“I think you could do the study, you’ve got a whole staff over there,” West said dismissively.

“I thought it was 32 million. How many is it? You obviously know,” the host responded.

West was accompanied by social media influencer “Sneako” who at this point raised his finger to indicate that the number was higher. West did not appreciate this.

“Don’t help them out, you know,” the rapper said to his companion.

“I’m being told it’s 33 million,” Morgan said, eager to get to the next point of the interview. “Congratulations, you have a slightly bigger following than I thought.”

This triggered a rant by the rapper.

“I’m a gift, bro. You know what I mean? Why don’t all you people in media act like you haven’t played my songs at your weddings or graduations or at funerals or when your child was born. You know, you take somebody that’s living like a Lennon, a Michael Jackson, and you just take all this time to just– like that nuance right there, it’s idiotic,” he said. “It just shows the hate that you put out for people that put love, there’s so much love in the art that I put out.”

“With all due respect, Ye, what are you talking about? I haven’t said anything,” the befuddled host responded.

“Okay, now you’re not taking accountability or responsibility,” the irate rapper spit. “Sir, this is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count.”

At that point, the star walked off the interview, leaving his companion and Morgan sitting there awkwardly.
