Fetterman fires back at leftist rag over hit piece quoting Hamas-loving ex-staffers

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is finding out exactly how things go when you offend the Democrat machine, but he’s not about to take it lying down.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the senator laid into a hit piece published in New York Magazine, in which anonymous ex-staffers referred to his behavior as “erratic.” It also sought to expose his relationship troubles with his wife, Gisele.

“It’s a one source story with a couple of anonymous sources, a hit piece from a very left publication.” Fetterman scoffed in his statement.

When asked if he believed anyone involved in the piece was genuinely concerned for his health, the senator shut it down.

“They are actually not concerned, it’s a hit piece.”

Much of the story was based on concerns by former Fetterman Chief of Staff Adam Jentleson, who had previously emailed the senator’s doctor with an urgent plea.

“I think John is on a bad trajectory and I’m really worried about him,” he reportedly said, adding that he felt as if the senator “won’t be with us for much longer” if serious changes don’t take place. Other claims include Fetterman allegedly being “nearly struck by a car” and “wandering” cluelessly around the Capitol.

Fetterman also refused to dignify claims that he isn’t taking his medications, which could have explained some of the alleged behavior

A statement explains the circumstances surrounding Jentleson’s firing.

“In December 2023, Adam Jentleson took action that jeopardized the privacy/sanctity of my confidential medical records. I subsequently directed my doctors to sever any access Adam could have to my medical information.”

Fetterman upset the left when he broke from party orthodoxy to defend Israel against Hamas and criticism from Americans in support of Palestine. Many of his staffers wrote an anonymous letter following October 7, complaining about the senator’s support and calling it a “gutting betrayal.”

At the time, Jentleson was on Fetterman’s side and even wrote on X in support of his boss.

“The thing about being a staffer is that no one elected you to represent them,” he said.

Such complaints naturally made their way into the “hit piece,” as one ex-staffer recalled Gisele allegedly confronting her husband about the ongoing conflict.

“They are bombing refugee camps; how can you support this?” the wife reportedly asked.

Despite any strife they may experience privately, Gisele defended her husband and shredded Jentleson to New York Magazine, accusing him of telling her “scary, untrue stories about John’s health.”

“I would talk to John’s doctors about what Adam was telling me, and they would be confused. Those doctors would tell me that their concerns were not with John, but with Adam. Any alleged ‘concerns’ heard from me came straight from those lies, not from John’s doctors or my own eyes.”
