It’s hard for the average American to wrap their brain around the unmitigated disaster of the Biden administration’s attempt to build a pier in Gaza.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen an administration that was more cavalier about taxpayer money than President Biden’s,” Republican Senator John Kennedy said in response to the fiasco.
“They spent money like it was ditch water,” he continued.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an administration that was more cavalier about taxpayer money than Pres. Biden’s.
We now know they spent $230 MILLION for a pier in Gaza that was only operational for about 20 DAYS. pic.twitter.com/qLPg0kjumL

A reported $230 million was spent on a pier that was in operation for 20 days, 62 injuries and one death were reported in connection with the project, with $31 million in equipment damage.
Biden and his D.C. bureaucrats reportedly ignored warnings about building a pier in favor of a “photo-op project”, DOGEai concluded on X.
The Gaza pier fiasco is a $230 million monument to Biden-era incompetence—62 troops injured, a service member dead, and $31 million in equipment damage for a project that lasted 20 days. This isn’t just waste; it’s systemic failure. The Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act (S.…

“The Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act (S. 1128) exists to block exactly this kind of reckless spending in Gaza until strict safeguards are met,” DOGEai stated in another post.
“Biden ignored those principles, prioritizing optics over operational security and taxpayer value. When you funnel cash into active war zones without accountability, you get chaos.
“The pier collapsed. Troops paid the price. Now it’s a $230 million lesson in why America-first policies matter.”
Libs of TikTok reported on the findings and slammed the Biden admin for being responsible for the “epic disaster.”

X users sounded off, and rightly so:
Per those familiar with the specifications of that pier system, it wasn’t capable of surviving the sea state where it was to be built.
Military leadership KNEW this before the plan even went into effect, but allowed it to happen anyway!
Guess that’s why they’re firing generals!— Vrghr – Floofy Dragonwuffy (@Vrghr) May 9, 2025

It was knowable info as well- wave state off Gaza exceeds maximum usable for that pier. Like all things Biden total ineptitude, devoid of reality mixed in with cowards in senior Mil roles unwilling to tell the boss “no” for fear it would hurt their carer.

One of the biggest Biden embarrassments – the half baked Gaza Aid Pier. $230 million. 20 days in use. And now we find out it injured 60+ US soldiers. One soldier died! All to placate terrorists & their sympathizers in the Democratic Party. Insane scandal. @reuters pic.twitter.com/nPlZnVmMmt

Remember that floating pier in Gaza that Biden forced our troops to build and that floated away onto an Israeli beach and had to be towed back? Biden’s admin said that 3 American soldiers were injured in the insane and useless endeavor. Turns out that number was actually 62.

Why didn’t they just throw $230M into the ocean?
Oh, they did.
