‘How does if feel Tush?’ Letitia James heckled at her own town hall over ‘mortgage fraud’ scandal

Trump-hating New York Attorney General Letitia James held a town hall Thursday night and found herself being confronted by an apparent supporter of President Donald Trump, who got a dig in about her alleged mortgage fraud scandal.

“My question is for Tish James. Will you apologize to President Trump for wasting millions of dollars in the state of New York for a witch trial?” the man asked the TDS-suffering Democratic prosecutor. “And how does it feel to know that you will be in prison for mortgage fraud? How does if feel Tush?”

Holding the event gave James full control over the microphones, and as the crowd booed the man she was quick to counter, “Everyone knows those allegations are baseless.”

“We want to thank him for coming, we respect all opinions,” she laughingly claimed.

The Department of Justice opened a criminal investigation on James after receiving a complaint from the Federal Housing Finance Agency last month — as for irony, the attorney general who campaigned for office on a vow to get Trump claims the probe is politically motivated.

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte requested the investigation over accusations that James misrepresented a single-family home in Virginia as her primary residence to obtain more favorable loan terms, and misrepresented the number of livable units in a multifamily Brooklyn house to obtain better loan terms, according to Fox News.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
