Salma Hayek made her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit at the age of 58.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit (SI) announced Salma Hayek Pinault, Lauren Chan, Olivia Dunne and Jordan Chiles as the organization’s cover models for 2025, its 61st year, in a press release issued May 13.
“With each woman bringing her own unique brand of beauty, talent and power to the table, SI Swimsuit’s cover model class of 2025 is made up of a collection of indisputably inspiring individuals. In short, this year is certainly one for the books,” they said.

The announcement of the top models featured in this year’s edition included a video of the women modeling a number of different swimsuits and bikinis during the photoshoot.
Hayek strutted her stuff toward the camera and struck an age-defying pose in a stunning bikini.
The cover models took turns talking about the significance and honor of being included in the coveted shoot.
“To me, what it represents — freedom,” Hayek said.
SI Swimsuit sang Hayek’s praises on their official website.
“Appearing on the pages of SI Swimsuit for the first time—though you’d never know it based on what an absolute natural she is—Hayek Pinault is no stranger to being on all sides of the camera. An Academy Award-nominated actor, Emmy Award-winning director and passionate producer, the Mexican-American superstar has been a household name since her early roles in the ‘90s,” they wrote.
“Further cementing her eternal star power with a literal star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021, there are no heights Hayek Pinault cannot reach.”
They went on to say, “In her jaw-dropping SI Swimsuit debut shoot with photographer Ruven Afanador, the actor bared all in sunny Mexico while sporting several stylish bikinis, making a convincing case that she may very well be the ethereal Goddess of Summer who simply took a delightful detour into superstardom while visiting our planet in her spare time.”
SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day issued a statement about the 2025 models in her Editor’s Letter.
“These women are why we do what we do,” she said. (RELATED: Salma Hayek Spotlights Her Arabic Roots In Vogue Covershoot)
