Team USA Will Have The Great Paul Skenes In World Baseball Classic

Damn, I love Paul Skenes! And that love just amplified! (No Diddy)

We’re less than a year away from the 2026 World Baseball Classic, and the roster of Team USA is coming together nicely.

Originally, the United States made the announcement that Mark DeRosa would be coming back as their manager, and then after that, Aaron Judge was named as the captain of the team. This will be the first time ever that Judge competes in the WBC. And now we have a new development, as Team USA has pulled in Pittsburgh Pirates superstar Paul Skenes to be an ace pitcher. The news was announced by Major League Baseball. (RELATED: MLB Pulls Incredibly Ridiculous Move That’s A Slap Of Disrespect To Baseball Legends)

In his second campaign in MLB, Skenes is already elite at just 22 years old, turning 23 on May 29. He was selected No. 1 overall by Pittsburgh in the 2023 MLB Draft, and not even a year later, he was already in the majors. In 2024, he was named the National League Rookie of the Year, having flashy numbers that consisted of a 1.96 ERA and striking out 11.5 batters per nine innings. That summer, he struck out one-third of opponents that he squared off against, with more than half of pitches put in play being grounders.

In other words, the red, white and blue got a BIG fish.

The yellow and black Pittsburgh swagger; the red, white and blue American swagger; having Olivia Dunne on his arm swagger…

Paul Skenes is already a legend.
