Advertisements for the British Army are produced and put out by professional services company Capita which has been intensely criticised for woke adverts and a failure to fill ranks, instead pursuing an advanced diversity and inclusion strategy. Ministers have today admitted that Capita will get another £18 million of taxpayer cash only to spend on advertisements for the next year. For that you could:
- Buy 12,658 Viking Arms defence-capable FPV drones.
- Buy 18,000 standard issue SA80 rifles.
- Pay for 766 army recruits.
The government says a sole marketing agency will “boost efficiency and coherence whilst building an in-house team with deep Armed Forces marketing expertise.” Can’t get any worse…
