Civil Servants Discussing “How Society Disables People” During Work Hours for NHS Diversity Week

Next week is the NHS’ “Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week.” Founded thirteen years ago by the NHS Confederation and NHS Employers to lecture staff on crucial diversity matters…

Over at woke-obsessed healthcare regulator the Care Quality Commission there is a packed schedule. Their Deputy “Equity and Diversity Director” says: “For CQC, it’s an ideal opportunity to reflect on equality and rights for all the sectors we regulate, as well as for ourselves as an organisation. We do this by focusing on 4 key areas:

• Rights respecting care
• Epistemic justice
• Antiracism and anti-discrimination
• The social model of disability”

The week will feature “lively panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and a mix of personal and professional insights from keynote internal and external guest speakers.” Here they are:

• Monday 19 May, 2 p.m: CQC – a regulator for everyone
• Monday 19 May, 3 p.m: How society disables people
• Wednesday 21 May, 10 a.m: Our latest research on workforce equality, diversity and inclusion in health and social care
• Thursday 22 May, 1.30 p.m: Exploring anti-racism approaches
  • “On Thursday, we’ll look at how to put anti-racism approaches, such as the Race and Health Observatory’s anti-racism principles into action. This is something we can all do, whatever role we’re in.“
• Friday 23 May, 10 a.m: The National Preventive Mechanism: Exploring our key role in in protecting human rights
