Rudy Giuliani Sounds the Alarm Over Comey’s Daughter, Son-in-Law Working Under Pam Bondi

Former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani is raising new concerns about potential political bias within the Department of Justice following a social media post by former FBI Director James Comey that many interpreted as a veiled threat against President Donald Trump, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

On Thursday, Comey posted an Instagram image showing a shell arrangement on a beach that spelled out “86 47.” The post was quickly deleted, but not before sparking widespread backlash and an investigation by federal authorities.

The number “86” is widely known as slang for “eliminate,” and “47” is a reference to Trump, who is serving as the 47th president of the United States.

The FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and the Secret Service launched an investigation into the post. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that the image was viewed as a “direct threat” to President Trump’s life.

Comey later denied that the post was intended as a threat.

Giuliani responded sharply, writing: “James Comey posted a message calling for the [assassination] of the 47th president.” He added, “This raises serious concerns about his daughter and son-in-law, both employed under Pam Bondi at DOJ.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi, who heads the DOJ under the Trump administration, has not publicly commented on the matter. However, Giuliani’s remarks drew attention to Comey’s daughter, Maurene Comey, and her husband, Lucas Issacharoff.

Both are assistant U.S. attorneys in the Southern District of New York.

Maurene Comey currently leads the SDNY’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit and has been with the office since 2015.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has prosecuted several high-profile cases, including the federal case against Ghislaine Maxwell, an associate of the late Jeffrey Epstein. She had also been assigned to the Epstein case before his death in 2019.

Her other cases include the prosecution of former gynecologist Robert Hadden, who was accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women.

Lucas Issacharoff, her husband, also serves as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in SDNY. Their dual roles at a critical jurisdiction of the DOJ have raised questions from Trump allies about impartiality, especially in light of Comey’s social media post.

The Gateway Pundit previously noted that Maurene Comey has recently been added to the DOJ’s investigative team probing music mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, further amplifying the scrutiny around her role.

Social media platforms have been flooded with reactions to the Comey post, with many Trump supporters expressing concern over the safety of the President and the influence of Comey family members within the federal justice system.

An official announcement on the results of the federal investigation into Comey’s post has not yet been made.
