Body cam shows Dem city councilwoman assaulting federal officers, impeding arrest of illegal alien

As Democrats postured themselves as above the law, released bodycam footage showed a New England politician’s alleged violence against law enforcement in defense of illegal aliens.

In Washington, D.C., House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D) talked tough about a supposed “red line” should charges be brought against caucus members over their behavior at a New Jersey ICE detention facility. While he denied there was “evidence” of wrongdoing, the members of Congress weren’t the only ones caught on video “assaulting federal officers.”

A day before New Jersey representatives accompanied Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) in facing trespassing charges, Worcester City Councilwoman Etel Haxhiaj was seen in Massachusetts forcefully attempting to prevent officials from arresting an illegal alien said to have previously been arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman.

In the video from May 8, Haxhiaj can be seen seemingly pushing law enforcement and swinging her hands at them as she was heard repeatedly shouting, “She’s my constituent,” despite being warned by an official, “You are obstructing federal arrest … do you understand that? You can be charged.”

As had been reported, following the incident, the Worcester Police Patrolman’s Union had released a statement asserting that, “Etel Haxhiaj incited aggression towards the police during the incident. This councilor participated in the conduct of the unruly crowd and eventually assaulted both Worcester police and federal law enforcement officers on scene. Her behavior also emboldened others to act in this manner.”

While her X account had been set to private, a screen capture of past activity showed that a February report of border czar Tom Homan stating, “I’m coming to Boston, I’m bringing hell with me,” had Haxhiaj reacting, “We will meet you with hell too.”

While the councilwoman had yet to publicly comment on the allegations leveled against her or the video of her behavior allegedly obstructing law enforcement, the New Jersey lawmakers who’d similarly been seen on video had resorted to denying reality.

“Yes, check the tape. The aggression was from the people in masks, hiding their identity. And the whole world has seen it,” Baraka argued on X. “Manufactured truth is still not truth. There has to be something incredibly wrong with lying on Mother’s day.”

Similarly, Jeffries had said during a press conference, “There’s no evidence to suggest that any member of Congress who was in Newark, visiting the detention facility in connection with their oversight authority, has done anything wrong.”

“No videos have been produced suggesting that they’ve engaged in any inappropriate behavior,” he went on. “And if those videos existed, certainly they would have been put into the public domain by now. Those videos haven’t been released because they don’t exist.”

Social media’s response to Haxhiaj’s actions caught on video had many calling for her to be arrested and charged to remind that, despite the track record of some officials, no one is meant to be above the law.
