Biden cancer announced on eve of big Jake Tapper book release, some smell a rat

An outpouring of sympathy for former President Joe Biden erupted after the news broke that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of cancer, but the timing of the announcement left some smelling a rat.

The 82-year-old Biden will dominate Monday’s news cycle, only not in the way that was expected, with the focus of coverage now shifting to his medical condition and away from the cover-up of his senility, the topic of CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s new book, which is set to be released on Tuesday.

Late Sunday afternoon, the disgraced ex-leader’s office released a statement that on Friday, he was found to have prostate cancer with “metastasis to the bone,” the biggest story of the day and one that while saddened by the news, Democrats have to be ecstatic about now that Tapper’s book and questions about their role in what should be the scandal of the century will go unasked out of respect for Biden and his family.

A Democratic strategist and CNN analyst said it all during CNN’s coverage of the diagnosis, suggesting that conversations about Biden’s cognitive deterioration “should be more muted and set aside for now as he’s struggling through this.”

The conveniently timed cancer diagnosis was pounced on by skeptics who aren’t buying it.

There is also the matter of Biden himself saying that he had cancer back in 2022, remarks that were explained away by his spinmeisters as just Joe being Joe with another of his frequent gaffes.

The unexpected announcement of Biden’s cancer should also do the trick by stealing attention away from the release of an explosive portion of his 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur that was made public by Axios, whose reporter Alex Thompson is the co-author of “Original Sin,” Tapper’s hotly anticipated book.

In the audio, Biden slurred his way through, forgetting key details, including when his son Beau died, supporting evidence for Hur’s decision not to charge him over the mishandling of classified information because he was too far gone mentally to put in front of a jury.

The biggest loser, other than the American public? Tapper, whose thunder was stolen by what appears to be another orchestrated psychological operation campaign that is going to see his book sales take a big hit.
