The Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) has criminalised prayer, preaching, or pastoral advice that may convince others to live according to biblical sexual ethics.
This flies in the face of promises made earlier this year by the recently elected Premier of NSW, Chris Minns, who pledged not to pass a broad ‘conversion therapy’ ban on prayer, which he said would threaten the ordinary work of churches.
As reported in Evangelical Times, Minns had been responding to a question from Monica Doumit of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney in March this year.
