Indy 500 Pulls Off Feat Not Seen In Nearly Decade

In terms of must-go events, the Indy 500 definitely comes near the top of my list.

And I’m not the only one who has that mindset. When it comes to the Indianapolis 500, we know how legendary it is, and that’s showing with flying colors as the Greatest Spectacle in Racing has seen their first grandstand sellout in almost 10 years. I don’t know what’s in the water in 2025, but a ton of people want to go, and it’s adding to the legacy of this beautiful race.

IndyCar made the announcement Tuesday that all of their tickets for reserved seating, a.k.a. suite and grandstand seats, are now officially sold out. (RELATED: ‘Idiot’: Indy 500 Has One Of Most Intense Practices You’ll Ever See)

“As promised, the very best fans in sports have delivered in fitting fashion for the stars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, and every last reserved seat ticket has been sold,” said IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway president Doug Boles in an official statement. “Approximately 350,000 people will experience the ultimate spectacle that is the Indy 500 in person as everyone turns their focus to the Racing Capital of the World on Sunday.”

2016 was the last time that the Indy 500 saw a ticket sellout like this. Then, it was the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

Fortunately, fans will still be able to buy tickets if they want to attend, doing so through the IMS Official Resale Marketplace. Carb Day (Friday) and Legends Day (Saturday) will also be days where you can land a ticket. General admission tickets for raceday are still being dished out as well.
