Tucker Carlson calls Trump business deals in Middle East questionable

Tucker Carlson is questioning President Donald Trump’s recent business deals in the Middle East, even throwing out the word “corruption.”

During Tuesday’s podcast episode with his guest, former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan, the pair agreed that Trump’s interactions in the Middle East at the very least have questionable optics.

When asked how he felt the second Trump administration is doing so far, Ryan gave a mixed review. While he is pleased that DEI seems to have largely fallen by the wayside and immigration is under control, other things like the Epstein Files bother him. Ultimately, he believes the administration needs “a lot of work.”

“F**k it, I’m gonna get blasted for this, but you know, I see all these negotiations going on in the Middle East and then, I don’t know when these buildings were approved or when these deals got done, but then I also see like, oh, there’s a brand new hotel going up in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, and another one going up in Doha,” he said. “I’m like, did these just get done also with the deals that just happened over there, or was this earlier? You would probably know.”

“No, I don’t know. I’ve not made one dollar in the Middle East. Not one,” Carlson replied.

“I mean, you’re a lot more on the inside than I am,” Ryan offered.

“No, no, no, I’m just a visitor and a traveler and watcher,” the host assured him.

“That stuff kind of worries me,” the former Navy SEAL admitted.

“Well, it seems like corruption, yeah,” Carlson said.
