REPORT: Bullets Graze Rapper Skilla Baby’s Head In Seemingly Targeted Drive-By-Shooting

Rapper Skilla Baby was reportedly rushed to the hospital after suffering injuries in what police are apparently calling a “targeted attempt on his life.”

Police responded to a report of a shooting and car crash Thursday at approximately 7 p.m. in the 8 Mile and Centralia area in Detroit, Michigan, according to a news release from the Redford Township Police Department (RTPD).

Officers found an unoccupied vehicle riddled with apparent bullet holes when they arrived on scene, the release added.

It was later discovered that a witness had transported 26-year-old Trevon Gardner, known by his stage name Skilla Baby, to the hospital for medical care, according to TMZ.

Skilla Baby was shot in the hand, grazed twice in the head and back, and he injured his thigh, the outlet reported.

Police are deeming the shooting a “targeted attempt on his life,” according to TMZ.

The shots caused Skilla Baby’s car to veer off the road and smash into a commercial building, French added.

TMZ shared footage showing Skilla Baby’s car wedged in the building.

Police located bullet casings scattered in the roadway at the scene, TMZ reported.

The alleged suspect was in a dark-colored SUV and left before law enforcement arrived, Click On Detroit News reported, citing a preliminary investigation.

French claimed he spoke with Skilla Baby at the hospital and said he is “expected to make a full recovery,” according to TMZ.

The singer is best known for his songs “Drip Too Hard,” “Close Friends” and “In A Minute,” and he boasts 1.5 million followers on Instagram.
