Social Media Is Clownin’ The Heck Out Of Angel Reese With Imaginary Stat

LMAO … this is comedy gold.

When it comes to Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, everybody knows that she’s a lock to get a double-double in pretty much every game. A sophomore in the WNBA now, Reese is a force when it comes to rebounding in particular.

Well, kind of. A ton of her boards are raked in after she misses a shot and grabs the ball over and over and over again.

Averaging 12.3 rebounds-per-game, Reese is the WNBA’s leader in the rebounding department, even grabbing more boards than she does points with a tally of 10.0 points-per-game. And a good portion of the thanks for that needs to go to her horrendous shooting as she figures a 31% shooting percentage. The shooting gets worse when you consider the fact that most of Reese‘s shots are close to the basket, it’s embarrassing. But hey, at least she’s racking up the double-double and rebounding numbers, right?!

Wrong, as users on social media find her play to be so bad that they’re clowning the living heck out of her by coming up with an imaginary stat to explain her numbers: “Mebounds.”

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. We have a new unofficial stat in the WNBA. Every time Reese misses a short shot and grabs the rebound, it’s now known as a “mebound.”

You gotta love social media, man.
