‘I Was Part Of The Problem While There’: Megyn Kelly Rips Fmr Network For Learning ‘Nothing’ On Trans Coverage

SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly ripped NBC News during her show Tuesday for learning “nothing” about how they cover transgender issues, admitting she had been part of the “problem” while at the network.

Many legacy media outlets, including NBC News, have covered transgender ideology, publishing pieces that highlight stories of families fearing a “hostile climate for trans people” and advocates alleging “misconceptions” caused by detransitioning narratives. While calling out the network on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the SiriusXM host reflected on her time at NBC from 2017 to 2018.

“The news media is part of the problem. I worked at NBC. I was part of the problem while there,” Kelly said. “I’ve talked to my audience about this. It was early on in this whole thing, but it was, frankly, it was late enough that I should have known better. But the whole thing hadn’t exploded in the way it has. This was back in 2018.”

“However, NBC has learned nothing. They’ve learned nothing from the explosion of this ideology amongst children and their testimonials and the data we now have on what puberty blockers into cross-sex hormones does to a young girl’s or boy’s fertility and sexual function,” Kelly added. “Nothing. They’ve paid zero attention.”

Kelly has long called out the push of gender ideology by trans activists, allowing detransitioners on her show to speak out against the process of cross-sex hormone therapy. RELATED: Lawsuit Against Trans Athlete In Women’s Sports Has One Highly Unexpected Component, AFPI Counsel Says

Kelly continued to call out her former employer, saying they have “refused” to use biological-based language and have instead used preferred pronouns when discussing transgender issues.

“It’s all about you have to affirm, or you’re a bigot. They refuse to use biologically based language. Pronouns and words like ‘daughter’ should not have been in that NBC News piece. There was a great example of fighting back against this on CNN over the weekend,” Kelly said. “It happened on Friday.”

“It circulated on X over the weekend. It was attorney Julie Hamill who confronted far left activist Brianna Keilar, who poses as a neutral news anchor but is really just a partisan hack. And Julie Hamill, in like sort of stone-cold fashion, just called out Brianna Keilar’s nonsense and a factual discussions,” Kelly said.

On Saturday, California attorney Julie Hamill confronted CNN’s Brianna Keilar after the host questioned what a “fair” competition for biological male athlete AB Hernandez would look like, notably referring to Hernandez as “her.”

Kelly played a clip of Hamill bluntly asking who “her” referred to, before calling out that the transgender athlete is a biological male who identifies as female.

“That’s how it’s done,” Kelly added.

Hernandez, who has been allowed to compete against biological girls in California’s high school track and field championship, has received backlash from fellow parents.

President Donald Trump stepped in on May 27, not referring to Hernandez by name, to tell Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom that the state could have its federal funding “held back” if it continues to disobey federal law.

In February, Trump signed an executive order prohibiting biological males from competing in women’s sports. The Department of Education has since warned states that it will investigate those that do not comply with federal law.
