Obama’s Doctor Slams Biden’s Physician for Skipping Cognitive Test [WATCH]

A former White House physician who served during the Obama administration is questioning why President Joe Biden was never given a cognitive test during his most recent physical in office, raising new concerns about the handling of the president’s mental fitness.

Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, who served as the White House physician for former President Barack Obama, spoke to The Washington Post in an interview published Saturday.

He criticized Dr. Kevin O’Connor—Biden’s longtime physician and the White House doctor during his presidency—for omitting any cognitive evaluation from Biden’s 2024 physical exam.

“Sometimes those closest to the tree miss the forest,” Kuhlman said.

He noted that presidential health assessments should consider more than physical wellness, stressing that the role of commander-in-chief requires a combination of mental, physical, and emotional endurance.

“It shouldn’t be just health, it should be fitness,” he said.

“Fitness is: Do you have that robust mind, body, spirit that you can do this physically, mentally, emotionally demanding job?”

In February 2024, Dr. O’Connor released Biden’s final physical report from the White House, describing him as a “healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male.”

The report noted that a neurological exam showed no irregularities, but made no mention of a cognitive assessment.

Whether Biden ever took a formal cognitive test while in office remains unknown.

According to internal sources cited by the Washington Post, Biden aides were confident he could pass such an exam but worried it could raise further questions about his mental capacity.

Scrutiny over Biden’s cognitive condition intensified following a widely criticized presidential debate performance in 2024.

The debate appearance led to widespread speculation about the president’s mental sharpness, as he appeared confused and frequently struggled to complete sentences.

Days later, Biden withdrew from the Democratic nomination, paving the way for Vice President Kamala Harris to launch her own campaign.

The publication of the book Original Sin by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson has reignited questions over Biden’s mental decline and whether the issue was concealed from the public.

Around the time of the book’s release, Biden publicly disclosed a diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer, prompting speculation about whether the diagnosis had been known earlier.

While Kuhlman said he didn’t believe O’Connor intentionally withheld information about Biden’s condition, he did not rule out the possibility.

“I didn’t see that he’s purposely hiding stuff, but I don’t know that,” Kuhlman said.

“Maybe the investigation will show it.”

Special Counsel Robert K. Hur’s 2024 report on Biden’s handling of classified documents previously found that Biden’s memory was “significantly limited” and noted “limited precision and recall” during interviews.

President Donald Trump has since ordered a federal investigation into Biden’s cognitive state during his presidency.

The probe is aimed at determining “whether certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”

Biden, for his part, has dismissed the mounting concerns.

In response to the book’s claims and criticism, he said, “You can see that I’m mentally incompetent, and I can’t walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them.”

As the investigation continues, attention remains on the role of White House medical staff, Biden’s aides, and whether the full scope of his mental fitness was accurately portrayed to the public during his time in office.
