Pop singer Sabrina Carpenter appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone’s Summer Double Issue released Thursday, marking another high-profile media moment ahead of her upcoming album release.
The 26-year-old artist was photographed in a series of stylized outfits by photographer David LaChapelle as part of a feature coinciding with the debut of her latest single and tour.
On the cover, Carpenter is seen kneeling in front of a hookah pipe wearing white lace thigh-high socks.

Her body is partially concealed by long blond hair extensions.
A single white high heel appears in the frame.
The styling choice aligns with themes carried throughout the accompanying photo shoot, where Carpenter posed in a variety of fashion pieces including a white floral corset with matching fishnet stockings, a gingham cape and underwear set, a yellow gown with a thigh-high slit, and additional ensembles.

Carpenter retained the long blond hairstyle throughout the shoot, photographed outdoors among flowers in settings designed to evoke a surreal, dreamlike tone.
Sabrina Carpenter talks to Rolling Stone about being criticized for the sexual nature of her music:
“It’s always so funny to me when people complain. They’re like, ‘All she does is sing about this.’ But those are the songs that you’ve made popular. Clearly you love sex. You’re… pic.twitter.com/Mv1rnEOAbs

The feature in Rolling Stone included an interview in which Carpenter addressed her evolving public image, her musical direction, and past media attention linked to fellow singer Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 song “Drivers License.”
The song was widely believed to reference a relationship between Carpenter and actor Joshua Bassett, Rodrigo’s former partner.
“All I knew was that it wasn’t going to stop me from doing what I loved, ever,” Carpenter said regarding the public attention she received during that time.
“That’s kind of how I’ve always felt. Sometimes, it’s about how you are able to be resilient.”
Carpenter said that period in her life led to increased self-confidence.
“What that era taught me was to just trust myself, and trust that everything is going to work out the way it’s supposed to, and trust that relationships are put into your life for a reason,” she said.
“You might not see that in the moment, but you see it later.”
When asked if she thinks about the events from that time, she responded, “I don’t think about it, ever.”
During the interview, Carpenter also spoke about her appearance and her decision to maintain her signature blond hair color.
“I’ve tried being brunette, and it didn’t look good on me, so this is what it is,” she said. She noted that she occasionally wears a brown wig in public to avoid being recognized.
Carpenter’s upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend, and its lead single “Manchild” were also discussed.
She began her “Short N’ Sweet” tour in September 2024 and is known for performing in outfits influenced by lingerie-style fashion.
The tour coincides with the release of new music that reflects her continued presence in the mainstream pop genre.
Her longtime hairstylist Laurie Heaps spoke with Page Six Style in December 2024 about Carpenter’s distinctive hair and style.
“Sabrina’s approach to hair now reflects a sense of confidence and sophistication, making each style feel intentional, timeless, and uniquely her,” Heaps said.
“Her choice of a rich, gorgeous blond has been a defining part of her look, adding depth and brightness that really complements her personality.”
Carpenter continues to gain attention for both her music and visual aesthetic as she promotes new projects throughout 2025.
