Pritzker stammers when confronted with his own words on men using women’s bathrooms

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker found himself in a very awkward situation when he was confronted over advocating that men should use women’s bathrooms.

The stammering Democrat tried to deny that he had ever taken such a stance during a fiery House Oversight Committee hearing with sanctuary state governors, but Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) showcased a 2017 tweet from Pritzker that stated: “As a protest against Trump’s rescinding protections for trans kids, everyone should use the other gender’s bathroom today!”

That tweet is seen here:

“Have you ever used the women’s restroom?” Gill asked the governor.

“Not that I can recall,” Pritzker replied.

“So you wanted everybody else to do it, but you didn’t,” the GOP lawmaker countered.

Pritzker claimed that he does not advocate for men to use women’s bathrooms, before Gill stated, “Did you ever consider that women don’t want you in their bathrooms?”

The portly “happy warrior,” as Pritzker described himself when he said anyone trying to enforce immigration laws in Illinois would have to “come through me,” was not so happy.

On that note, the potential 2028 presidential candidate was eager to get drilled over that stance instead.

“So you’re admitting that this is just a political circus?” Pritzker told Gill. “This has nothing to do with immigration and [is really] about you grandstanding.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
