Trump-loving former baseball star says he’s done if POTUS takes US to war

Former MLB star Zack Cozart says there is one thing that could make him stop supporting President Donald Trump.

The ex-Cincinnati Reds shortstop said on Monday that his support for the president would quickly come to an end if the United States went to war. This comes as tensions between America and Iran continue to rise. On Monday, Trump cut short his trip to the G7 Summit in Canada, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt citing “what’s going on in the Middle East.”

“President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State,” she explained.

Cozart shared his take on X:

“If Trump gets us in a war I will no longer support him and I’m sure most of you know I love Trump,” he wrote.

“Trump has requested that the National Security Council be prepared in the situation room for his return,” Fox News reported; however, it’s important to note that White House spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer is denying that the military will be joining Israel’s attacks on Iran.

This is not true. American forces are maintaining their defensive posture, and that has not changed. We will defend American interests,” he wrote in an X post.
