Tim Weah should be ashamed of himself!
With Juventus squaring off Wednesday night against Al Ain in the FIFA Club World Cup in Washington D.C., players decided to take a trip to the White House beforehand to visit President Donald Trump. But it appears that their forward Tim Weah, who also plays for the United States Men’s National Team, wasn’t happy about it, nor the fact that it was a surprise.
Weah, who was born in Brooklyn, spoke to the media Wednesday night following Juventus’ 5-0 victory, saying that players “had no choice” in the matter in regards to going to the White House. (RELATED: ‘A Different Dude’: Even ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt Is Starting To Realize That Rory McIlroy Is A Prick)
“It was all a surprise to me, honestly — they told us that we have to go and I had no choice but to go so I showed up,” said Weah. “I guess it was a cool experience being in the White House for the first time. It’s always wonderful but I’m not one for politics so it wasn’t that exciting. I was caught by surprise, honestly. It was a bit weird. When he started talking about the politics with Iran and everything, it’s kind of like, I just want to play football, man.”
And this guy calls himself an American … HA! … you can watch the video of Weah’s comments here.

Hey, I get it, I don’t cater to anybody but myself either, but this is America! Show some pride, dammit!
