Bonkers! Minnesota assassin suspect claims Walz tasked him with killing Amy Klobuchar

The alleged assassin behind attacks on Minnesota politicians reportedly confessed to taking orders from an influential Democratic Party member for a plot targeting a member of the Senate as well.

Wrapped up in the tragic Minnesota murders of state Rep. Melissa Hortman (D), her husband, Mark, and the attempted murders of state Sen. John Hoffman (D) and his wife, Yvette, there existed the unusual background of the accused suspect, Vance Boelter.

Now, in addition to time as an ordained minister and a member of a development team for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Star Tribune reported that Boelter allegedly admitted to being tasked by the governor to kill Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D) to clear a path for his own Senate bid.

In reporting on the letter said to have been found in the alleged assassin’s vehicle addressed to the FBI, the Tribune detailed, “It is incoherent, one and a half page long, confusing and hard to read, according to two people familiar with the letter’s contents. It includes Boelter alleging he had been trained by the U.S. military off the books, and that Walz, who is not running for Senate, had asked him to kill Klobuchar and others.”

The letter was also said to have suggested a reference to Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith (D), as earlier reports suggested Boelter’s vehicle had a “hit list” naming over 60 Democrat leaders and abortion clinics in addition to “No Kings” fliers referencing protests against President Donald Trump.

Those reports had also detailed the suspect’s appointment to Walz’s Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019.

While the public clamored for transparency and the release of any “manifesto,” or in this case what Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension superintendent Drew Evans described as “a notebook with a lot of lawmakers and others listed in here. Much more other thoughts,” during a Sunday press conference, authorities had taken the typical stance of withholding information during an active investigation.

However, that didn’t stop Hennepin County Attorney spokesperson Daniel Borgertpoepping from asserting to the Tribune, “due to the seriousness of the allegations it contains, we will state only that we have seen no evidence that the allegations regarding Governor Walz are based in fact.”

Representing the governor and former Democratic Party vice presidential nominee, spokesman Teddy Tschann stated that “this tragedy continues to be deeply disturbing for all Minnesotans. Governor Walz is grateful to law enforcement who apprehended the shooter, and he’s grateful to the prosecutors who will ensure justice is swiftly served.”

Likewise, Klobuchar said Friday, “Boelter is a very dangerous man and I am deeply grateful that law enforcement got him behind bars before he killed other people.”

Given the severity of the accusations, the extent of violent rhetoric that continued emanating from the left and the reality that President Donald Trump had himself faced multiple assassination attempts within the past year, statements and assurances weren’t enough to satisfy the public as demands were made for documents attributed to the suspect to be released without redactions to “Let us decide for ourselves.”
