Pro-Palestine doctor charged with threatening Ohio Republican Max Miller and his family

An Ohio doctor was arrested and charged for a shocking incident involving Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio), who was run off the road by an “unhinged, deranged man” flying a Palestinian flag.

In a harrowing display of antisemitism, the Jewish congressman was on his way to work earlier this week when the driver of a black Tesla aggressively engaged with him on Interstate 90 East, allegedly calling him a “dirty Jew” and telling the lawmaker that he could “kill him and his daughter,” forcing him onto the berm.

” … Some unhinged, deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road when he couldn’t get my attention to show me a Palestinian flag,” the former Marine said in a Thursday video posted to social media in which he described the hateful encounter.

On Friday, 36-year-old Feras S. Hamdan faced a judge in Rocky River Municipal Court, where he pleaded not guilty to aggravated menacing. He now faces an added misdemeanor charge of menacing with an ethnic intimidation specification due to Miller being Jewish.

At Hamdan’s arraignment, Rocky River Municipal Court Judge Joseph Burke referenced last weekend’s attacks on two Minnesota Democrat lawmakers, one of them, former Speaker Melissa Hortman was slain in her home along with her husband by a masked gunman pretending to be a cop in a deadly example of the political violence that Democrats have unleashed in America.

“Threats against elected officials — I’m just not gonna tolerate that,” Burke said.

He later added, “These are real serious allegations here. It’s not gonna happen on my watch. Someone’s gonna get harmed,” according to Cleveland Fox News affiliate FOX 8.

Judge Burke set Hamdan’s bond at $500,000.

The “unhinged, deranged man” is also a physician, a troubling fact pointed out by the anti-hate X account StopAntisemitism, which shared a screenshot of Hamdan, who practices family medicine in Cleveland.

“Feras Hamdan is a danger to Jewish patients and we hope the Ohio Medical Board investigates and revokes his license,” the account wrote, calling for a professional probe of the pro-Palestine doc whose pro-Hamas sentiment could potentially endanger Jewish patients.

“This morning as I was driving to work, some unhinged deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road when he couldn’t get my attention to show me a Palestinian flag, not to mention death to Israel, death to me — that he wanted to kill me and my family,” Rep. Miller said in his video. “Thank God my daughter was not in my vehicle or anybody else at the time.”
