ESPN needs to chill … LMAO!
Angel Reese‘s Chicago Sky suffered a 107-86 blowout defeat Saturday against the Phoenix Mercury, and Caitlin Clark’s loud-mouthed rival was horrible as usual. For the game, she put up a stat line of nine points, two assists, two rebounds and had a +/- rating of -25. At one point in the game, however, Reese did manage to hit a three-point shot. And if you’ve been watching Reese this season, you’re very well aware that doesn’t happen much. With this being the case, ESPN decided to hype up Reese in a tweet, and boy oh boy, is it a doozy.
Check it out for yourself:

Basically, ESPN set themselves up for failure with the unnecessary glazing, and social media absolutely let them have it.
It’s embarrassing to post an entire highlight from the single basket a player scored. Obvious agendas being pushed here 🤣 The Mercury on the other hand recorded a franchise record in 3’s made as a team. Crickets

Angel Reese with a huge 3 to cut the lead to 19

I’ll never understand why ESPN continues to force one of the worst WNBA players on us over & over again

😂 she’s so bad, her hitting a 3 is a highlight.

She hit one shot today, with her team down 22. And it gets an ALL CAPS post? This isn’t about Angel Reese — I’m not a hater and never have been — it’s about ESPN.

Do you post all her baskets she makes????
— YuppieWhiteTrash (@brianjohn0311) June 21, 2025
Why is someone (anyone) making a basic three point shot worthy of a highlight post?
— Matthew Richardson (@chickendaddy44) June 21, 2025
The score during this highlight…

And to think ESPN actually had glory days … what a horrible network.
