A Christian mother who successfully fought a lengthy legal battle for the freedom to express her religious beliefs and openly criticise sex education materials in her child’s school has spoken of her relief as the UK Supreme Court has refused to hear the school’s appeal.
The decision by the Supreme Court ends the lengthy legal battle centred on Kristie Higgs, and it means parents have the freedom to voice their concerns without fear of losing their jobs.
It all began back in October 2018, when Higgs posted on social media expressing her Christian beliefs and raising concerns about sex education materials used at her son’s primary school.
