Karate Kid’s Martin Kove Bites Actress, Claims Joke—Co-Star Completely Blasts Him on Camera [WATCH]

Actor Martin Kove, 78, was the subject of a police report after allegedly biting his Cobra Kai co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim at Washington State Summer Con in Puyallup on Sunday, as reported by The New York Post.

Newly released bodycam footage captured Hannah-Kim confronting Kove and requesting that the incident be documented by authorities.

According to the video obtained by NBC News, Hannah-Kim reported the incident after Kove bit her on the arm during what he later described as a “playful” interaction. Police approached Kove outside the venue, where an officer informed him that his actions were considered assault.

“You can not bite people, that is not okay,” the officer told Kove. Hannah-Kim added, “That is assault!”

Kove responded:

“I really apologize. I was just playing because we’re very playful together, and I bit down too hard.”

The officer confirmed Hannah-Kim had visible marks on her arm.

Hannah-Kim, 37, appeared shocked by the explanation.

“You have left a mark on my body, which in your 80-year-old brain, you think is ‘play.’ Sir, were you raised in a ditch?”

The actress went on to tell police she wanted the incident recorded, stating, “I would like it to go on his record, on the record between me and him, so that he cannot ever do this to me again.”

The report states that the incident began when Hannah-Kim tapped Kove on the shoulder at their shared booth. Kove allegedly grabbed her arm and bit it hard enough to cause pain and nearly break the skin. He then kissed the same area after biting it.

According to the police report obtained by People, her husband, actor Sebastian Roché, witnessed the encounter and was present during the confrontation with Kove.

The report also notes that Kove “exploded” when confronted by the couple and was subsequently “escorted out of Summer Con.”

Bodycam footage concluded with the officer explaining that Hannah-Kim chose not to press charges, but wanted a formal record of the event to prevent future incidents.

Kove later issued a public apology through a statement provided to TMZ. “I deeply regret and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia,” Kove said.

“I was being playful in the moment but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior. I regret my actions… and again I apologize to her and her husband.”

Kove is best known for his role as John Kreese in The Karate Kid films and the Netflix sequel series Cobra Kai. He joined Cobra Kai in 2018 and continued in the series until its conclusion after Season 6.
