Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced a tax holiday in his state and it’s a gun grabber’s worst nightmare.
The state’s budget was finally approved earlier this month, in which the usual tax holidays like the “disaster relief” or “freedom summer” breaks were absent. In their place was a list of permanent tax exemptions that included many disaster preparedness and summer fun items such as AA-cell, AAA-cell, C-cell, D-cell, 6-volt, or 9-volt batteries, portable generators, and portable gas or diesel fuel cans (5 gallons or less) according to ClickOrlando.
But that wasn’t all. Also included was a permanent back-to-school holiday in the month of August, which gives some relief to parents shopping for school supplies on a budget.
For those who are into firearms and enjoy the great outdoors, a “Hunting, Fishing and Camping” tax holiday will also be taking place from Sept. 8 through Dec. 31 this year. This means firearms, ammunition, cleaning kits, fishing rods and reels and other supplies will be sales tax-free so Floridians can enjoy nature with more financial peace of mind.
The governor released a statement on the “2nd Amendment tax holiday”:

SEPTEMBER 8th-DECEMBER 31st, tax free!
