Critical Piece Of Socialist Rising Star’s Platform Exposed As Total Bogus

Zohran Mamdani, the presumptive Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, is a fount of bad ideas. But one could glean as much from his joining the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). One of Mamdani’s worst ideas betrays either a fatal lack of numeracy — or utter malice. In either case, he should be kept as far away from political office as possible.

One of Mamdani‘s ads sees the Democrat mayoral nominee delivering a sympathetic spiel to the camera while walking through a NYC bodega: “Grocery prices are out of control … It doesn’t need to be this way,” he promises. “As mayor, I will create a network of city-owned grocery stores.” How is planning to pay for this socialist venture? By “redirect[ing] city funds from corporate supermarkets to city-owned grocery stores.” Putting aside the economic and ideological implications of Mamdani’s plan, there’s one glaring problem. The money he wants to use doesn’t exist. (RELATED: Aging Democrats Are Bleeding Voters — Their Replacements Smell Blood In The Water)
