Noooo! Not Red Panda!
Red Panda, a sports halftime performer and an absolute legend in that realm, took a nasty fall during the break Tuesday in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship between the Indiana Fever (minus Caitlin Clark) and Minnesota Lynx. It was such a hard tumble on the Target Center court that both fans and players showed their concern.
Riding on a 7-foot unicycle and waving to the audience, Red Panda all of a sudden leaned forward, tipping over where she crashed on the court and needed medical attention while remaining on the hardwood. Following the fall, Red Panda was clutching her left wrist. She eventually left the court in a wheelchair.
After the contest, and during their title celebration, Caitlin Clark and her Fever teammates spoke about their worries and sent positivity over to Red Panda while guard Sydney Colson was streaming on Instagram Live. (RELATED: Fever’s Sophie Cunningham Clearly Isn’t Excited About WNBA’s Expansion)
“Red Panda, if you’re watching, we love you!” said Clark.
It was such an intense fall by Red Panda that there were concerns that the unicycle dented the court following the tumble.
Born with the name Rong “Krystal” Niu in China, Red Panda is famous for doing her thing on a 7-foot unicycle, even using her foot to balance bowls and then kicking them to the top of her head to stack them. Since 1993, Red Panda has been doing performances in the United States.
