New York Knicks Making Very Questionable Decision With Head Coaching Hire: REPORT

What on earth are the Knicks doing?

According to a Wednesday report from ESPN, it’s expected that the New York Knicks will hire Mike Brown as their next head coach. Brown is a two-time winner of NBA Coach of the Year.

Leon Rose, the president of the Knicks, has been going through a hiring process since the team decided to fire Tom Thibodeau in June. New York had made requests to talk with five different head coaches in the NBA, being denied every time, then made the move to interview multiple skippers who are available. From there, they did multiround stages with all of their candidates. (RELATED: Malik Beasley’s Money Problems Revealed Amid Gambling Investigation)

As an assistant, Brown has won four championships with the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors under Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr, respectively. And he’s also coached several superstars during his time with the Spurs, Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and most recently the Sacramento Kings.

But my whole thing is … can he win a championship as a head coach?

Mike Brown is a good head coach, but he’s not a great head coach, and I sure as hell don’t believe that he’s going to be the Knicks’ savior. The guy couldn’t even save the Cleveland Cavaliers when he had LeBron James.

I’m telling you, man … the Knicks are gonna regret so much getting rid of Tom Thibodeau.
