Rachel Millward is running for deputy and backing far-left former LibDem candidate for leader Zack Polanski. She is also serving as deputy leader of Wealden District Council – in post she has attempted to ban fire by making all public events net zero and has changed the council constitution to prevent Green cabinet members coming before the scrutiny committee. Millward has also been referring to herself as co-leader of Wealden District Council – this is not true and the current council leader confirmed as much at a public meeting.
