Two youth baseball coaches from Lake Bluff, Illinois, have been fired after an incident involving public nudity during an under-12 baseball tournament in Cooperstown, New York.
The coaches were caught on video streaking across the field under stadium lights, an act that has sparked outrage, disbelief, and a swift disciplinary response.
The now-viral video shows the coaches undressing and running across the field while their team, the Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association’s 12-and-under Blue team, was in attendance.

In one particularly disturbing moment, one of the coaches, completely nude, is seen sliding headfirst into home plate while children watch and laugh in shock.
“Oh my God!” one child exclaims, as another gasps: “What the hell?”
“Is he naked?” another kid asks.
It’s not clear what motivated the coaches to get naked for the creepy stunt.

Though the children’s reactions in the video may appear amused, the consequences were severe.
The team was disqualified from the tournament, and the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department — which oversees Cooperstown — was contacted, according to a report by CBS Chicago.
In a statement released by the Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association, the organization said, “We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and have contacted relevant authorities. We will continue to support those authorities in their investigations of this matter.”
The association also confirmed that both assistant coaches involved had been fired.
“We have also taken immediate and decisive action by terminating the assistant coaches involved,” the statement added.
It remains unclear whether the coaches were parents of any of the players, or if any criminal charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Department has not yet released a statement or confirmed whether legal action will follow.
The Post has reportedly reached out to the sheriff’s department for more information, and attempts to contact the Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association for further comment have gone unanswered.
The incident has drawn national attention not only because of the shocking nature of the act but also due to its setting — a prestigious youth baseball tournament in a town best known as the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Parents, community members, and sports fans have expressed disbelief online, questioning the judgment of the adults entrusted with mentoring young athletes.
“It’s supposed to be about the kids,” one commenter posted. “This was completely inappropriate and humiliating for everyone involved.”
While youth sports are intended to teach discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, this incident has become an unfortunate reminder that adult behavior can have serious consequences — not just for themselves, but for the children they lead.
As of now, both the investigation and the fallout continue, casting a shadow over what was supposed to be a celebratory experience for young athletes competing on one of youth baseball’s biggest stages.
