Yesterday’s utterly bizarre comments from Sadiq Khan’s TfL Commissioner, Andy Lord, have caused incredulity among Londoners. Lord claimed that good citizen movements like Looking For Growth are actively spraying on graffiti only to clean it up…

Lords said: “Firstly, I would ask anybody not to take this matter into their own hands. We also have evidence of people creating graffiti and then removing it, so that is being investigated by the relevant authorities.” Where is that evidence?

None of it emerged yesterday. Khan also took a swipe at the group, suggesting that wiping up graffiti somehow lowers prosecution rates. Total contempt for the travelling public…
