Podcaster Joe Rogan is displeased with President Donald Trump’s deportation efforts, but actor Mark Ruffalo says the criticism comes too late.
During Tuesday’s episode, Rogan called the scale of the efforts “nuts,” arguing that Trump’s administration is rounding up illegal aliens at places like “construction sites” and “Home Depot” rather than dangerous criminals.
Watch:
WATCH — @joerogan: “These ICE raids are fuckin’ nuts… if Trump had said we’re gonna go to Home Depot and arrest everyone, tackle people at construction sites, I don’t think anyone would’ve signed up for that… It’s crazy.”

Taking to social media site Threads, Ruffalo issued a firm rebuke of Rogan’s skepticism.

“Dear [Joe Rogan]. It’s a little late now to pretend like project 2025 didn’t exist and wasn’t the play book all along,” the actor wrote. “You are either not that smart or not that dumb. It’s hard to tell at this point.”
Rogan supported Trump and endorsed him as the end of the 2024 campaign season neared, but he has always leaned more toward the independent side of the political spectrum. However, it appears that this has not endeared the leftists back to him, as they blamed him for at least a portion of Trump’s electoral victory:
A Flip-flopper has no loyalty
Agreed
Nah joe will just flip once he has a conservative on again.
A little too late Joe. The election was an open book test and you failed miserably.

He’s stupid. That’s exactly what his fellow MAGAts wanted.

I would actually like to have a civil conversation with Rogan about what made him think the opposite would happen and why he believed it over so many experts.

Half of maga believed Trump when he said millions of illegal immigrants were violent criminals in gangs. The other half believed mass deportations wouldn’t mean what’s happening now. Both halves are dumb af.

ICE isn’t going into gang and drug dealer neighborhoods and arresting criminals because those guys have guns and ICE agents are cowards. Instead they’re going after children and grandmas and guys mowing the lawn.
